I just did it. I just signed up for APS's Green Choice Rate program. 100% of my electricity will now be provided by geothermal, solar and wind. I only have to pay $.01 more per Kwh used. This equates to my bill being about $25 more in the hot months and $5 more during the cool months. I'm almost all green. Things to do before I am completely green ( Read more... )

Attempting to push religion on me while standing on my door step is probably the most offensive thing one could do to me. They may as well start the conversation with, "Hi, everything you do is wrong, bye." I think I would be less offended if they would just slap me and walk away.

I have managed to find a user pic that sums up my sense of humor. I freak'n love it.

These pictures were taken by Dawn and Lisa. Unfortunately, I was not able to take more because Dawn and I had an emergency. Fortunately, I have a couple more chrysalids that will not emerge until this weekend. I fully intend to get video.

A few weeks ago my children told me that there were some weird caterpillars on the bush next to our front door. After some research, I determined that they were Monarch butterflies and the bush was a milkweed. A few days later a small chrysalis appeared. Will somebody explain to me why "door-to-door salesman" is still a career option.

I have been involved in a whole lot of non-everyday-situations.

The reason I never learned to play baseball was because of a very brutal "dog on leash tied to pickup truck bumber while dad drives with son to Target to get bat, ball and glove" event.

um...oh...yes, of course...Pomeranian, and Lobo.

The outside of helmets are hard...the insides are soft. Being struck on the head by the outside of a helmet=hurt, the kind of hurt that makes you want to rub that one spot vigorously. Wife, please take note.

My toilet holds enough water to sustain four dogs for one hour.
