The Loire River is one of the longest navigable waterways in all of Europe, and, in many ways, cuts right through the heart of the country. At the end of our last letter, we left you in Versailles. Stocking up at the lovely market on a Sunday morning, we drove out, pointing the camper generally southward. Belgium is a wonderful little country. During this trip we happened to stick to Flanders only but some day we’d love to come back and travel more extensively. As a side note, Belgium seems to be a wonderland for children and we highly recommend it if you have someone under 12 years of age to entertain.
