my brother and i went to see the abt's sleeping beauty performance with vishneva yesterday night. vishneva is by far the best female ballet dancer i think i've ever seen. and cornejo is probably one of the best and most expressive male dancers out there these days. it's a pity he is short and thus tends to get "peripheral" parts. i think though ( Read more... )

i am starting to assemble my wardrobe for travel and i think i have it mostly figured out. i may cut out a few articles of clothing, like sport pants or a t-shirt here and there... i am also not certain about the need for a swimsuit. i have to keep the fancy dress and high heels because i am going to a wedding. all of the items, including the fancy ( Read more... )

ok, maybe not the whole month, but some... i am not seeing anything good. the new supreme court decision in Ledbetter v. Goodyear particularly makes me angry. so, first women's rights, now also worker's rights are being undermined. boy, that was fast. at this rate, in ten years we'll be in the 1860s again.

people are coming... things are happening... aaahhh. i am not going to be sleeping before the wedding, just a warning to let you know your bride is not a zombie. she is just sleep-deprived. anyway, we are married in the eyes of the law already. so, meh. i can look like hell. this is just a small ceremony and a dance party. hah. how clever of me!

as of this morning, i am officially a married woman. weird.

i am very proud of him. he continues to amaze me with his drive, dedication, and resulting accomplishments. it is one of my favorite qualities in him. he got honors in both of his majors, graduated magna cum laude, did a whole lot of charity work on his own and at city harvest, had part-time employment almost all of the time in school, been an ( Read more... )
