So I finally got over to the art supply store and picked up a large canvas, some acrylic brushes, and acrylic paints. I also signed up for a discount card and got a little thrill when the sales clerk registered me for the card as an "individual artist." I don't think of myself as an artist, I'm a hobbyist. I thought he was the victim of a tragedy. Larry and I both are deeply shocked by this.
I feel sick just thinking about it.

It was late when I heard the sirens last night--maybe I should say it was early. They stoped abruptly, seemingly far away. But trucks are noisy, even if sirens are mute, so I looked between my blinds and down to find 2 police cars, a fire truck, and a cordoned off area with yellow tape beneath 7 stories beneath my window. After three weeks of traveling every weekend (Baltimore, New Haven, NYC, Atlanta)...a weekend back in good ole DC.  More on that later.

It's been a while since I updated. Things have been great. My buddy Tina came and visited me recently and we painted the town red. I attended a WWE Smackdown! event in Baltimore (my first live, pro-wrestling event) and have a new appreciation for the "sport." Ozzy Osborne performed his new single during the filming by the way.
