Philip has the sick pretty bad. Jilly is a lot better. Philip hasn't been able to eat anything at all today, and had maybe 2 bites full of food yesterday. His sleeping is sucking, too, though he's exhausted. Coughing is disturbing his sleep

considering how many times children cry "mommy!" throughout their lives, I wouldn't worry too much about this one. Especially if they're crying before sleep - they don't remember much of that.

it feels gut-wrenchingly horrible for you, but you did nothing wrong and she will be fine. sometimes you have to triage.

I used to cry in frustration when my twins were younger and doing similar things. Just remember the mantra...this too shall pass (or, it will get better).
