I just read an article/interview about All-Star Superman. Apparently the inspiration is a conventioneer/cosplayer's rendition of the confident super-human. So powerful as to appear vulnerable to normal worries because he is, and yet he has succeeded to a new level of concern. I haven't read this book. I will find the first trade.
