I felt bad for excluding the gay male friends I have here (which I think number more than the straight kind), in name only at least, but I'd like to think that there's a certain universality to this that could be applied to anyone of any preference or even gender. For men, I'd say: instead of a blonde with a nice set of cans, find a guy with an accent and an ass you could set the clocks in your house with whenever the electricity goes out. Or a young John Corbett in Northern Exposure, definitely pre-My Big Fat Greek WeddingBut moving on, I always thought I'd do well being Gay with a capital G, too. And long ago, to make a very long and uninteresting story very short, I explored that avenue to a very limited degree. It just wasn't happening for me though, kind of like your dalliance with that one girl. We are who we are, and even though I never saw what the big deal was with being gay, it's never made me uncomfortable, it's the women that resonate the most in my black, dysfunctional heart
