You are having your first real one being away from San Antonio, aren't you? Isn't it great? This time of year is just about my #1 reason why I don't want to move any further South than, say, the Ohio River.
We had an early autumn this year..by Labor Day it was pretty much apparent that summer was over, which is unusual. Normally it doesn't get to be sweater/jacket weather until, well, right around now. But this year we've been running around in extra layers since about six weeks ago. Like right now, it's about 45 degrees. I wouldn't call it cold because I consider cold to start when you get down in the 20s, and it's only flirted with that a couple of times like in the early early morning.
Yes I really am. We live next to a huge park, which though it doesn't make up for the fact that the population density around here is atrocious and I miss the country, does help. I posted some pics in my lj a few days ago and have been collecting leaves. I just can't believe the scenery isn't fake, especially first thing in the morning when the light is lovely and there are geese flying over my head in formation. It's about the same temperature here. The sky here is sometimes blue and sometimes very gray in patches and it looks like a storm is blowing in, but I've been told that's just what autumn looks like.
For Jersey, yeah I suppose the temperatures would be about the same. One thing about population density, though...as you may know my stepdad is from New Jersey originally, never really left it until he was transferred to the Ford plant around here in '02. It took him three years to get used to the fact that there just aren't as many people, and even now I'll be running around with him and he'll just say, out of the blue, "There just isn't anybody around here, you know?"
Me, I'm like, "What? It just took me 45 seconds to make a left turn. That's bullshit." :)
You kids with your big pants and your MTV. Listening to that "Eminem" character has diminished your attention spans to something akin to that of a field mouse. To me, writin' a post ain't writin' at all unless it can qualify for the NaNoWriMo award by itself.
