Bad day transformed
First off I should properly and publicly thank my father-in-law who so thoughtfully brought me flowers and his own cheerful face to visit on Saturday, plus my three fab lit circle friends who helped me heal with lots of laugher and goodwill that afternoon. It's been quite some time since my last foray into this everchanging landscape. Starbucks has a lot to do with that, as well as my own emotional rollercoaster. I have a job. My first day is Monday. Starbucks has hired me as a shift manager. I will have orientation from 10am-2pm Monday, then my first day of training is Tuesday. At 4:30am. Seriously. 4:30 AM I have to be up, awake, showered, dressed, fed and AT WORK. This is going to be quite an adjustment. The good news is, my shift ends at 1pm, which ( Read more... ) -

Proof that I am not dead...yet
The wedding was absolutely perfect. I fit into my dress, and may I just say, I looked damn good. The honeymoon was wonderful. Contrary to popular opinion, we did not have a big fight beforehand. In fact, we haven't argued in about two weeks. I'm really happy. Married life is wonderful. I love cooking together and taking naps during thunderstorms ( Read more... )
