It is terrifying seeing your loved one injured and not in his right mind.

OMG
I'm glad injuries were "minor" (whatever that means to the ER staff - from what you've both gone through today and the pain he's in - well, MINOR is not a word I think you'd use!!

**HUGS** (very gentle ones for Pete)

How scary! I'm glad it seems that happypete will recover fully, and that the damage is minimal.

You did make a poor judgment call, yes. At the same time, you did explain to him what was up, and seemingly gave him good advice during the event, though it seems he was not quite experienced enough to heed you.
So don't be too hard on yourself, painful as i know this to be for you both. Q, being raised around the horses, will have great benefits in knowledge and safety about them, which is a life-long benefit.

Peace to all yall, and my thoughts be with yall.

I don't emember much of what happened. I do know I was trying to get off. I just fell asleep trying to post this comment, with my finger pressing a key. Think I'm crawling back in bed.

*hugs* to you all. Yes, I agree, it is absolutely terrifying to see your loved ones in pain and not thinking quite straight. Having been there, albeit not with horses, but with motorcycles, and more broken bones, it is *not fun*. I am so glad everyone seems to be still in one piece. *hugs* to Q and N, who I think will be the main beneficiaries of growing up with horses.
