At night I set off to the Pyramids, my hair alone explained enough; flowing damp from the first shower at the hotel, curled from careless braids & smelling of the white jasmine flower crown I bought for 1EL from the man who's elder smile took my breathe away. The Egyptian darkness stole my breath, the booming sensation of drama and magick ( Read more... )

The Parisian catacombs are beautiful, my heart is left with them.

oh wow. that looks like a lot of fun. And it also kind of baffles me. A laser light show on pyramids?!?! ok. i kind of want to see it.

this is totally unrelated but I'm listening to this song and thought I should maybe suggest it to you?

the song is called: corrupted

The best laser light show I've witnessed to date was at a Tool concert. But that holds nothing to what you witnessed above!

It's a most mystical celebration.
Particularly uncrowded, which baffled me.

You should, it's one of those lifetime things...

Tool rocks. \m/ Manyard's back was turned the entire concert I saw them at, his tattoo was great but the gesture was greater.

I'll check it out, thanks!

Yes, I have seen them twice. The first time he was at the back of the stage wearing only a loin-cloth, and backed turned towards us. It was amazing. That was in 2001.
The second time was last year I believe? And he was dressed as a COWBOY and at the front of the stage dancing like umm... a rockstar? A very, very different vibe. And that was when the laser light show with fog was happening haha. But it was still really great.

Although I prefer the half naked, back turned show with the contortionists on stage.

What a trip- friggin' light shows on the pyramids! The Ancients and hi-tech technology finally meet. =)

You look like Nefertiti in that pic.

Thank you. Exactly! A fizzy fusion of modern day ritual. The narration was exceptional, 50s low toned dramatics. Every-thing/era upwards and combined to be this powerful show...
