I wasn't particularly close to Specialist Dube but we did serve in the same Platoon for over a year and where  in Iraq together. I treated him as a person and as a soldier in whom I could trust my life if needed.

We rolled a few combat patrols in the same vehicle and where involved in hundreds of platoon and company combat missions together.

...is hot and muggy.

But its a whole lot better then the middle east.

We arrived late Friday night and got Saturday off. We hit River Street, Savannah and partied it up till almost dawn.

Good to be home.
