Wow, so evocative of the zoo. Also,a wonderful picture of Sam and Dean's relationship. I like how you start, in a sense, in the middle of some bigger story, letting the reader imagine how Dean ended up in the hospital and for what.

I'm pretty sure Sam's persuasion involved many promises of TIGERS and PIRANHAS and MAYBE WE WILL SEE A LION TEAR A GAZELLE'S HEAD OFF DEAN. Less sweet, but probably most effective.
