Saturday did not go according to plan. Nothing catastrophic, but I'm one of those people who likes a plan and I get a little stressed when life forces me to be flexible. It didn't help that I was overtired

my friend Mac who has decided to give up on social networking in favor of paper communications. Tricky, as he's in Australia.

So very, very isolating in this day and age..

Indeed. He wrote us all a letter before going off-line, explaining concerns about private information & overexposure, a lack of regard for Facebook policies and capriciousness, and a sense that although it's been good to reconnect with folks he's not that interested in the small details and found Facebook friendships to lack depth.

So, I bought a lovely greeting card and will attempt proper correspondence. I'm a little nervous. Maybe I'll type it first, and, then hand-write it!
