Today marks the 64th Anniversary of the birth of the most terrible weapon in any arsenal. The Trinity Site saw the first bomb -- a 20 kiloton blast -- explode at 4:45 on the morning of July 16, 1946, bringing the U.S. and the rest of the world into the nuclear age, from which we would never look back.
