So I haven't updated in about six months, but I've been reading. Long story; I'll get to it.

"What should I bring to the potluck at the dealership?"
"Could do cookies, but this time of year, I'd say it with poison."
"Poison cookies, then?"
"Make them poinsettia-shaped!"

My mother and I are not nice ladies.

So, wound up singing Trouble the Waters with about 10 people at CVS just now. This seemed to unsettle the clerks--understandably. Some little kid started singing it, and older man joined in, I picked it up, and soon half the store was singing along.

I have no idea if that was a flash mob I inadvertantly joined.

So, some buddies and I went canvassing in Savannah for Troy Davis this weekend. In addition to the usual random weirdness of going door-to-door (one couple invited me in to play Guitar Hero. They actually had the controllers out, so I don't that particular euphemism has spread. Probably not, anyway), we got signatures in a Kroger parking lot. ( Read more... )

I have never been so happy in my life as I have been in the last few months. I'd only call about 3 days last semester "bad" and it's hard to even do that, given how much I learned from them.
