Weird. . .
So my darling child has decided he likes to nurse in the bathroom. At this point, I'm happy to do it because he's become so distracted during the day that he was hardly taking anything, and then nursing all night, til I realized what was going on. The new arrangement
I moved the guest queen size mattress into our room and made it a babysafe sleeping nest. It's not meant to contain him, just be safe for sleeping. I padded the walls with foam mats after the first night on the mattress when I heard him roll over and klunk his head into the wall. EC Hilarity
This morning Oscar pooped in his potty around 7 as he does most days. Sometimes he has another one mid-morning, but usually not. I was making Scott's smoothie around 8 and Oscar was in his cage. He stopped playing and stood up and started getting whiny. I had to go to the bathroom so I scooped him up on the way. Now when I go, I'll usually put him ( Read more... ) -
exercise
I dropped one of my massages so now I'm getting one a month instead of one every two weeks. I'm taking that $80 and using it for an extra 4 hours of daycare a week, which I'm using to keep up with the housework a little better and go to yoga. Attempting to feel like myself ( Read more... ) -
Sleep
I moved him out of that rubbermaid bin a while ago, and now he starts out the night in the pack'n'play. Then usually between 2 and 4 he wakes up to potty and I pull him in bed with me. This is fine except that he tends to stay latched on most of the night and unlatching him results in waking up, needing another trip to the potty, and then nursing ( Read more... ) -

ECing went fantastically for a few weeks there, and then teething happened and he went on a potty-strike, and now I'm just kinda like, whatever. He hardly ever has a wet diaper at night because those are super easy to catch, but during the day I get busy doing things, and then when he's happy playing I don't want to disturb him. . . so we miss a ( Read more... ) -

Milkies
I need to make a Grimmy update post, but that will be later. For now, I just want to say this is my first official day of pumping for my neighbor, who is having a baby in February. She had a breast reduction so she's afraid she won't have enough milk. I don't know how much I will be able to give but every little bit helps. When the baby comes I'll ( Read more... ) -
Bedding
Our setup right now is a rubbermaid bin beside the bed. Oscar starts out the night in there, comes into bed to nurse back to sleep upon waking in the night, and usually gets put back in the bin when/if I wake up and notice he's unlatched. I tried to post this days ago and it wouldn't go. Little buddy has a cold and is a little extra snuggly (picture). And today, we had our first session of "Gimme five, up high, down low". I didn't do too slow yet. I wanted him to feel he was doing well.
