Не осуществились надежды культа MuellerAnon. Расследование Мюллера завершено.

Осуществилась ли угроза номер пять, о которой я писал в декабре 2017 (бесплодное окончание расследования Мюллера)?

Окончательно говорить пока рано. Факт российского вмешательства и его преступной составляющей Мюллером установлен. Завершение расследование без предъявления обвинений американским сообщникам этого вмешательства - не то, чего ожидали не только поклонники культа MuellerAnon, но и многие комментаторы из числа профессиональных юристов и бывших прокуроров.

Законом возможности Мюллера ограничены - он мог сообщать публике о выявленных фактах только путем предъявления обвинений и развернутых обвинительных заключений. Финальный отчет с обоснованием всех решений по выдвижению обвинений по правилам предназначен не для публики и не для Конгресса, а только для генерального прокурора.

Не допуская утечек из своего расследования, Мюллер перекрыл кислород потенциальному " Deep Throat". Журналисты отныне будут остерегаться публиковать утечки из разведки или контрразведки о российских контактах.

С другой стороны, если Мюллер нашел основания для импичмента, единственным легальным способом донести их до Конгресса было бы закрыть расследование и выпустить финальный отчет в надежде, что Конгресс сможет затребовать его по повестке. Это объясняло бы достаточно резкое окончание расследования до распутывания всех нитей.

Таким образом, остаются три варианта:

1. Расследование развалилось, не найдя доказательств преступной деятельности со стороны участников избирательной кампании Трампа.

2. Мюллер закрыл расследование для того, чтобы донести важную информацию до Конгресса и позволить начать процедуру импичмента.

3. Назначенный Трампом прокурор Барр не дал Мюллеру завершить расследование.

Третий вариант маловероятный, но его нельзя сбрасывать со счетов. Можно вспомнить, что в начале года Мюллеру продлили как финансирование, так и срок работы большого жюри, которое рассматривало обвинительные заключения. Кроме назначения Барра ничто, казалось бы, не торопило.

Special counsel Robert Mueller's federal grand jury has been extended so it may continue to meet and vote on criminal indictments for up to six more months.
The grand jury's initial 18-month term was set to expire over the weekend.
The extension is the surest sign yet that the Russia investigation isn't finished. It means, broadly, that Mueller may continue pursuing alleged criminal activity related to the Russian government's interference in the 2016 presidential election, and that more indictments may be coming.

This seemed like a recipe for a massive embarrassment. It was clear to most of us that an assessment of his health would not go well for him, since the vast majority of Americans can see. Like many others who loathe him, I awaited the results of that physical with bated breath, knowing they could only be catastrophic. I was in for a disappointment.
First came the baseline cognitive function exam results, which showed that the president was capable of basic cognitive function. You can’t track cognitive decline unless you administer the same exam over a period of years, so despite the fact that the decline in Trump’s speech is clear evidence of dementia - to say nothing of numerous personality disorders the test didn’t cover - he got off on a psychiatric technicality. I reassured myself that he could not escape the physical so unscathed. I mean, just look at him…
Then Dr. Ronny Jackson took the White House podium, blissfully unaware that he was setting himself on a path that would soon destroy his life, reputation, and career. For 90 minutes straight, he swore up and down that Donald Trump was so healthy that he “may very well be immortal, at least in the sense that he will never die of natural causes.” He truly seemed to believe what he was saying, too.
This glowing description of the data raised eyebrows at the time. The good doctor was laying out results that were somewhat favorable (at best) for a 70 year-old man with a horrible lifestyle, but he made them sound like the human physical ideal. There were also outright discrepancies: Trump is clearly not 6'3" anymore, if he ever was, yet his BMI was calculated with that height to keep him out of the obese range. He sleeps three hours a night and eats fast food on the regular, so it didn’t make any sense.
Still, Dr. Jackson was in the Navy, and presumably bound by rules of some kind, so I started to doubt the evidence before my own eyes. Maybe Trump was actually much healthier than I’d thought, despite every conceivable indication to the contrary. Maybe, by pure genetic luck, this visibly decrepit old man had been spared any serious consequences for his reprobate philosophy of personal wellness. Maybe I did actually weigh the same amount as that fat bastard, and maybe I really never needed to drink again. I was bewildered, and in utter disbelief.
Trivial as this matter was when weighed against all the human rights violations, I quickly got over the fact that Trump may have actually proven me wrong about himself. Then, months later, Dr. Jackson was nominated to head the Department of Veterans Affairs, despite a total lack of relevant experience (though I get how practicing medicine would seem relevant to a guy who knows nothing about government). In his infinite corruption, Trump was bringing back the Spoils System, and he was bestowing a sinecure on the physician who lavished him with good PR and lied on his behalf.
