Friend. That word almost made her show a sardonic smile, although she kept it to herself. She shifted to look at the flag, wondering briefly if it could be used for anything other than decoration. Not very likely.

When she looked back at Russia, she weighed her options and decided to go with what seemed to be the most logical thing to do.

"I will get right down to business, if you don't mind," she began, taking a step forward and trying to choose her words carefully. "I have two requests, and I hope you're interested as well. First, I would like to know more about you--and Canada, the way you exist. It's not very common to have the will of a country manifest into a physical form."

She paused when she tried to read the expression on Russia's face, although it was...rather blank, actually.

"I'm interested in what you are. And the second thing would be joining White Fang."

She didn't want to add that Canada's warnings made her want to keep this newcomer under surveillance rather than having him join the organization right away.

Russia certainly knew this woman, of all people, was not the boss of this land. More like one of those rebel groups he had troubles within the past. He smiled pleasantly, though, offering an expression that was readable. "I'd be willing to join you." He wouldn't even consider Canada's feelings on the matter.

"There is not much to know, our existences aren't terribly exciting." Or at least he didn't think so.

Canada frowned a little at Russia's last answer there. Hadn't he ever had to explain any of this to his bosses? Canada's bosses had always asked a lot of questions, at least, and he had always been happy to answer them. Then again, Canada was one of the more agreeable countries, so that might have just been who he was. Still, he said nothing about it at that moment. It wasn't the right time to question Russia about his policies.

Instead, he tried to at least offer encouraging words, so he laughed a little and said, "Well, I guess we'll be working together, then."

She considered the words for a few moments, judging how genuine they were and deciding that even if this wasn't a sincere answer, it would be good enough for the moment.

"Then I welcome you into White Fang. I suppose you want to start with the easy jobs until we can arrange something more befitting. Things have been quiet anyway." There actually wasn't very much to do for those who didn't have enough powers to fight monsters on the Upper Level and the organization had been expanding slowly, so this was actually coming to a point where they... ran out of work.

"Are you at all skilled in crafting?" There were roofs that needed patching up still...

"Yes, I'm skilled in many things," Russia offered, and crafting was among them. As well as being skilled with a gun, of course. He didn't think if he had one he would have much difficulty killing monsters. And he also needed his pipes.

"I don't mind," he offered politely. "I will do any job necessary."
