Purge
So last June, I committed to this purge thing. On Day 1, you get rid of one thing, Day 2- 2 things, etc. I did well for about two weeks and probably got rid of close to the number of things I would have gotten rid of. Mom
We found out last night that Kev's mom has inoperable stomach cancer. She's opted against chemo because she doesn't want to be sick. She's 86, so I can't blame her. But this sucks beyond the telling of it. I stayed home with Kevin today and he's been sick all morning. I just don't see anything good coming of this. -
Posterous
I am finding new ways to be social and I discovered Posterous. So far, it won't interact with LiveJournal but it will post to both my Twitter and Facebook accounts as well as other blogs, if I were to have one. I guess I'll have to set up a blog elsewhere. Almost complete
I displayed it for First Thursday last night and I am pretty happy with it. There's a raw edge on the smaller piece that I painted tonight. And there's a couple of edges on the big one to fix but all in all, it's complete and ready to turn in. I am very pleased with it. Car
My car wouldn't start today at lunch so I missed class. I finally got it started and it's at the mechanic. I really don't want to dump more money into this. It's not worth it. I am so tired of worrying about things like this. Like if we fix my car, will we have enough money to pay our mortgage? I am just so stressed out about everything I ( Read more... ) -
Creeper
Last summer, or maybe before, we got a new janitor. Happens pretty frequently, it's a shitty job and turnover is high. I always try to be kind to them because they do have a shitty job. Work
So the new boss gave me my review last month and also showed me the promotion she's working on for me. It's a promotion from hourly to professional, takes into account my degree and social media knowledge. I have no idea what the money will be like, but I don't care. Well I do, but the recognition goes a long way for me.
