In my daily search of the different morning papers, I found an interesting little gem of an article. Evidentially a mayor in a small European town has banned his citizens from dying under fear of harsh punishment...something to do with running out of cemetery space or something. What exactly DO you do to punish a dead man for dying ( Read more... )

I KNOW I KNOW.

Make them reincarnate as a Tale.

Come on, Whitney, it's not THAT bad being a Tale. I rather like it.

Right, kitty. Meanwhile you are hating on dogs for no good reason except that you are ruled by your feline predecessor.

Dogs are stupid and jump over fences and get lost. If a creature cannot even stay in the boundaries that have been set to keep the stupid thing fed and sheltered, then I have little sympathy for it.

It has nothing to do with my feline predecessor, it's common sense.

Let them pick it up at the pound, you bleeding heart. There are animal laws in this city for a reason.

Yes, of course. Perhaps if we all waited on official people to handle things the world would be a far better place. Only do what you have to do, that's a good motto.

Vile? Really now? What is it about this book that makes everyone so inclined to toss around insults? For shame, M. Cordon.

Perhaps I am being a bit harsh to the creature, but it keeps yapping and wanting into MY house when it's house is just a mile up to the road, and the noise is tiresome.

I apologize.

It is all right. Your other anecdote about punishment of the dead amuses me, so all is forgiven.

Now, have you considered that the dog might be trying to tell you something? Perhaps his owner has fallen down a well like in that television programme? Lassie?

I'm glad.

Hmm...Would you like my honest opinion about dogs being able to communicate things? Likely the answer to that is no so I will stay quiet for the moment. I think the dog's purpose in my yard is far more diabolical.
