I feel like I should acknowledge I'm here. I still READ lj/dw regularly, I just don't post much. Too much RL stuff I don't really want to chronicle, at least not yet. So this is, I guess, a placeholder for people checking who I am, should I friend you or try to join a comm.

Vidders: please help.

I'm trying to encode small videos, made of clips from standard 350mb avi files, in Adobe Premiere Pro 5. To my mind, these ought to be smaller than 350mb--they're shorter and I'm adding nothing to them. But they come out at 2 or 3gb, which is absurd. Google's failed me so far. What am I doing wrong?

I know there aren't many guys on here, but for the record? When you get drunk and angry, and start shouting and swearing at girls? That's fucking scary. Don't do it.
