They put all those ties on to literally keep parents from opening the toys. Surprisingly enough, Parents, not children are the number one thieves in toy stores; they only want that one little part that their kid destroyed minutes after opening it the first time, so they try to sneak in and take it, but thanks to new packaging techniques to prevent loss, it now takes a blow torch and several various hardwood tools to open the packages, thus preventing parents from stealing.
