Wow. This tapped into my theory of Brian and birthdays so well. I've always, always thought this is how it went down. Brian and his beautiful, big heart crushed from early on.

I think you perfectly captured the downward spiral of his day (and the one in the hospital that he didn't even remember, ouch), but the wonderful stories of his friends (when they were on the show, as characters, allowed to be friends) trying to make the day special.

But, of course, it was Justin, who makes it all better. The image of the final risk at love was great (as was the one of Justin running down the beach).

A perfect present for Brian and us.
