I survived week 1 of return to work... tired, sore, but alive.  Some years that is a bigger accomplishment than others.  This year, it's good.  I've got a minion (aka student teacher) and a new department member who I have to help since he doesn't yet know the intricacies of the curriculum for this level.  So, I'm a busy beaver in that regard ( Read more... )

OK..so this weekend my baby graduated from HS.  YAY!!!!!!!!  As you know, she's been accepted to, and received a full academic scholarship to the university of her choice--about an hour away from home.  Below you can see her at graduation...at the beginning.  AND you can see the cake she wanted for her graduation party.  The cake has been a hit, ( Read more... )
