So I'm going through a period of complete and utter lack of motivation. Exams are coming up in just over two months, and I just can't pull myself to the point of caring in any way shape or form. A Good Night and a Bad Day
So the wife is off to her conference in New York City. We decided to spend last night in Des Moines in order to avoid a 4:30 wake up to get her to the airport. We checked in to the Travelodge and, in search of something to do for supper, we went to the State Fair. The Iowa State Fair is the greatest place on the face of the Earth. Well, studying for exams is in full swing. I've been downloading and printing book reviews as part of my studying for exams, to flesh out skimming books, and today I killed a ream and a half of paper and five print cartridges. And I'm only on page six of my book list. I still need to run to the library in order to photocopy reviews and articles ( Read more... ) -

Well folks, the lists are made, the computer is buzzing, and the next stop is the library. The book lists have been finalized, and it's time to get cracking. For those of you keeping score, there are now two hundred and eight (that's right, 208) books between me and exams.

Musings
The lazy, hazy days of summer that we all look forward to seem actually to be a tad poisonous. While we in grad school are prone to procrastinate at any given time, summer can be down right deadly.
