Well, the trip to Iowa's east coast is over, and I'm glad to be back. Let's just leave it at family is thing best visited twice per year and left alone to stew in it's own juices. Just a quick note to let you all know that I am heading out of town to go and visit the family back in the QCA. I should be back on Friday...it's a real run and gun, mainly so B and her friend can go to the G Love and Special Sauce concert in Davenport Thursday night. It has begun!
The final week of German, that is. And it's gonna be a fun one. Test on Monday, paper due on Friday (about the Hoff, of course), and a final test on Friday. Fatherless Day
I sit here on a hot summer night and think back on the opportunities of a lifetime, and on a life dearly missed. Saturday was Father's Day, and for the first time in many years, I didn't need to buy a cheap card or make a phone call. The card is no big deal, in and of itself, as Father's Day is merely a Hallmark Holiday. The phone call stings. ( Read more... ) -
