I'm ending livejournal. Ir has served as a good release for a long time, now it's just a lot of blah-ness, nothing fresh, original, nor exciting. You can catch me by phone, on IM, email, or in person.

Home has been good. I've been really lethargic, not really wanting to do anything lately. It's funny how time goes by so fast in a day. I feel like I just woke up but it's almost four. Thanks for your caring messages for the last post. I feel better now that the MCAT is done and the drama is sorted out. I also scheduled a meeting to talk before the semester ends. Only two more days of classes (including today) and I have three finals in two days. Then I'm free! Now I just have to get up the motivation to write my research paper. ( Read more... )

These recent weeks have been really hard. More than once I broke down and cried, for more than one reason. School, MCAT, research, uncertainty of the summer, and some excess drama made my head spin and my stomach hurt. Some may say that my life is simple and others may say that my life is boring. When days get hard and tedious, like recently, I try to:
-look at the stars- Geoffrey taught me to recognize the Orion Belt. Yay!
-smell the flowers- the Dogwoods are blooming!
-think of Mexico- the feeling of doing something purposeful

I watched the Constant Gardner in the Union tonight. Yay for beautifully-shot socially conscious films. Boo for how screwed up the world is. Pharmaceutical companies that would rather sacrifice African lives than money and research time. Sometimes I get so depressed at the unfairness of the world. Why do some lives seem so "worthless"?
