"I Feel Like I'm Taking Crazy Pills!"

Dec 17, 2008 12:27

This past weekend I have had to deal with some pretty crazy people in relation to a couple theatre auditions. I mean, all theatre people are crazy to some extent (myself included), but I haven't dealt with this level of crazy since Alice In Wonderland.

wow, seriously, wow - do you think they took the same drugs as the Alice people?

No, Alice was on her own very special combination of drugs. These people were almost as crazy, but not quite "Alice crazy."

Sounds less like "crazy" and more like "completely unprepared". Though the 'not wanting to wait around to the actual agreed on start time' is a little crazy.

Also, I like using ""quotes"" for '"emphasis.'"

I too would just guess they were unprepared and leave it at that. But that the very least the Studio Theater gig posted the music that they wanted us to use, so they weren't all that unprepared. I think the lady I met in the Starbucks was some admixture of crazy and unprepared.

I like using _underbars_. I find them _draconian_ and _powerful_.

One hopes that the creativity to rename the Scarlet Letter
in that particular way is a whimsical funny creativity, &
ot an in-your-face obnoxious one...

I also hope things get better than this for you!!!

Yeah, here's hoping, but from what I've seen of the script and so forth, there there may be some in-your-face involved.

Things are generally better than this. I have had many more normal, no-surprises audition as well. It's just that these two were back-to-back so I had to comment.

Hmm. It seems I also like hyphens to isolate certain three-word-phrase ideas.
