I just about forgot how to get into this journal.  It's been a long time, and more things have happened than I can remember.  Now I'll have to get re-acclimated here.   

it pours. Okay, so the start of the summer has been eventful. First I get shingles, then my dad ends up with melanoma, and then today I had to have a filling replaced. I've been slack in updating lately. The biggest reason is because of getting shingles. It's getting better now with the medicine, so I'm trying to catch up on some things. I hope everyone is having a good summer so far.

Just a note that I haven't dropped off the planet or anything (not that I think that would be a bad thing necessarily). It's summer which means life in high gear. On top of the kids being out of school and home all the time I have lots of gardening and other seasonal work that I like to do. I was frantically getting all the last details ready for my wedding the next day. I can't believe it's been 14 years, but sometimes that doesn't really seem like a long time.
