thanks to everyone for y'alls concern about my brother and his gf. after a day-of purchase of plane tickets (costing a minor fortune) they are finally back from Cancun, and are as well as can be expected. all they want right now is a dinner out at a nice restaurant where they don't have to choose between potato chips and M&Ms for a meal. obviously ( Read more... )

the bag is beyond rad. my only complaint is that the strap is a bit too thin (maybe 1.5-2" wide). i'm considering stitching my old army surplus strap to it for reinforcement.

yeah, he msged me out of the blue on AIM and we talked for a while. i enjoyed him. i look forward to him keeping me in touch regarding his move. i was surprised to hear he was in SF. Portland in a few weeks! PORTLAND RULES!

I will say this, I saw the horizonatl version and its pretty hot. Though before I drop $175 on a bag (or $125) I'd probably want to try it out first. Did you just get your's online?

yes, through eBags, though they also have them at Zappos. i shopped around a bit at REI, Rynn's, etc. to see if i could find anything else, but nothing really struck my fancy. it was pretty much a leap of faith, and short of the thin strap, i dig it.
