In Memphis, the suicide lane is primarily used by pedestrians who have crossed two lanes of traffic going one way and are waiting for the two lanes going the other way to clear.

On Memorial Day, I took a stroll down Central Ave. Starting off at my dorm, I just walked west until I came to the golf course on the south side of the street. Where the golf course ends, on the north side of the street (between Lafayette and Tilton) is the Pink Palace Museum.
