Fuckity, fuck.
I made another orange and almond cake this morning and it has turned out terribly! I didn't prep the pan properly so it stuck and then fell out in clumps. I also didn't have enough eggs so I adjusted the recipe which wasn't a good idea. Poo! I was taking the cake in for a girl who is leaving.

I have decided to toilet train Tex. His kitty litter is so foul. The packet says it only needs changing monthly, but we are having to change it every two weeks. By the two week mark, it is absolutely putrid and stinking out the whole house!

I've just made a potato bake using gruyere, parmesan, cheddar and speck (like super bacon). Can't wait to eat it! I'll be serving it with rib fillet and a very colourful garden salad. Oh yum :)
The cake is looking awesome. I had to save it from Tex. I think he may have had a wee nibble while I wasn't looking.

This afternoon I am making a blood-orange and almond cake. You have to boil the oranges for a couple of hours, and the smell is beautiful. The house smells fantastic! Can't wait to eat it ( Read more... )
