Somehow LJ got bumped a little on the priority list with the advent of a new baby, a move to a military base, and a three week vacation, not to mention 9 different houseguests who each stayed for at least a week.

My little sister has been accepted in the masters program at Cornell, and offered an 11K merit scholarship there. She has to decide if that's enough $$ to make living in the New York area feasible (she'll have to wait and see how the need-based aid comes out and if she's offered a Teacher's Assistant position) but it's still totally exciting to ( Read more... )

Well, we've had the Sprog for a week, and while I absolutely adore her, I'm pretty exhausted. She's not very fussy and sleeps well, but nursing is another story. I'm sure things will improve in time, but right now it's just not very fun, to say the least ( Read more... )
