I loved reading this very insightful entry. What's your Mom going to do out in CA?

She's going to be with her man. That's the whole plan, as far as I'm aware.

my mom just moved from my semi-childhood home (junior and senior high era) and i couldn't have felt less about it. we all agreed actually, my mom, my sis, and i, that none of us were attached to the house, just each other. it felt weird though to not care but i was relieved to know they felt just as apathetic. odd...

I've been trying to feel that way, too. The *people* will still be around (mostly), and that's what really counts.

I love this entry.

Whenever I'm back in CT, I drive by the house I grew up in. It has changed drastically, but I still remember every minute I spent in it, and I wonder if the kids who live in the house now will have the kinds of memories I had there.

I'm going to have to try really hard not to be that crazy lady who just sits in her car and cries outside the house every few months.
