I've been using smartphones since I got my hands on the 1st generation iPhone back in November 2007. Back then it was truly amazing and had so much promise. That was before we got the App Store. Until recently my main computer had been a Mac Pro workstation packing a quad 2.8GHz Xeon and bristling with RAM and hard drives. A true behemoth, solid, large and very heavy. Well it's been awhile, as it often is with my blogging. The main reason is I find Facebook status updates and Twitter to be more than sufficient for most things and I rarely can muster enough enthusiasm to write enough to warrant a blog post. It's not uncommon to get a smattering of snow in Aber during the winter but it's unusual to see the sky full of it so early on. I snapped this out my window this morning. Evening everyone. This week I'm back up on campus helping out in the comp-sci department with their iOS development course. Ah like old times again. Not much has changed on the surface since I graduated in 2003, but walk into B57 and you'll be greeted with loads of shiny new Mac minis! Well I'm back from my 3rd trip to Japan, which as always was awesome. Went to some really great new places, of which Nokogiriyama was the highlight. I also saw some sumo bouts in Ryogoku which was really cool. Our trip coincided with two festivals which we got to attend: The Sanja matsuri in Asakusa and the Nikko spring festival.
