Peppers
I went home Wednesday morning. Got up early and took the bus to Sackvegas, then wandered through the waterfowl part taking pictures. Eventually ended up at in-laws house.
My mother-in-law grew these peppers. Picture doesn't really show scale but these were giant, gorgeous peppers. I made up a vegetarian stuffed pepper recipe last night, came out ( Read more... ) -

BEOWULF
So, we are watching Beowulf, and it's much better then I expected.
Surprisingly so.
I knew that Jolie was a CGI, but had no idea the movie was animated like an adult Shrek.
Beowulf being the draconian requirement I felt it to be in Grade 10 and then later in university, is a story I know pretty well, but I prefer either Arthurian era or non-European ( Read more... ) -
Vegetarian Nazi
Today the teenage boy who rang in my groceries told me he was a vegetarian and then proceeded to mock the bbq chicken I picked up. It was awkward. He also asked me if I "found everything" I "was looking for." Twice. And, as a coup de grace, bruised my bananas. I'm only really upset about the last part ( Read more... ) -

I worked tonight and need to be there for 8AM tomorrow. I'm going to bed now not because I'm tired but because I'm afraid of how crappy tomorrow will be. I hate this.
