It always amazes me the disconnect between the number of people who speak english on the Swiss side and on the French side of the border. This weekend I went to a magic tournament ~30 miles from Geneva, still deep in French speaking swiss territory but a little further from France proper. The only thing I love more than watching Pittsburgh teams win while I'm in Pittsburgh is watching New York teams lose and seeing who cries. The Yankees sucked it hard this month, as much as the Mets sucked it up last month. Taurus is in worse condition than when I left it. I was able to at least drive it, now the whole thing dies seconds after the engine starts up. I had to get it towed back to my place. So my honeywagon, a '94 Taurus Station wagon, has major engine problems. The kind that will cost $1400 or more to fix. I'm supposed to call the shop tomorrow about what I want them to do. So I have to register a bunch of stuff in order to go to a software/hardware talk on the big CERN accelerator. First was Fermilab accounts, which took 5 minutes and was done over the internet.
