Chapter 5
“Leeteuk? Special? Why would you call me that, Siwon?”
“Because that’s your real name, Leeteuk-sshi.”
“What do you mean real name? Where are we? What’s going on?”
“Shall I start at the beginning? It’s quite a long story in my opinion.”
“Yes, I would like that. I need a full explanation. Start from the very beginning.”
“Then I suggest you take a seat and get comfortable Jungsu.”
“Angels and devils used to have a kind of peace with one another. They stayed in hell while we stayed in heaven. We all did our duties, whatever they be and not once cross paths with each other. That is until a few decades ago when the king of hell decided he needed more power and control. He wanted to rule everything. But to achieve his goal, he had to obtain the Light which resides in heaven. So--”
“But what does that have to do with me?”
“You are an angel, actually the son of the king of heaven, the head angel, archangel, whatever. The Almighty you could say. You were named Leeteuk at birth because you were very precious and special to everyone. I was your caretaker, servant, whatever you’d like to call it. Several years ago, 6 years to be exact, heaven was invaded by a group of devils set on kidnapping you. I am not sure of the exact details of what happened but it seems you had fallen from heaven down to earth. Where you had fallen was a mystery. For the past few years, we have been searching for you with no leads until one day, a fellow angel--”
“Hello.” O_O (jungsu or leeteuk’s face when he saw the speaker)
“was lucky enough to have found you. I, being your caretaker, was sent to confirm it was actually you and to bring you back before any evil had befallen you. But it seems it already has and now it’s risky to bring you back. Either way you’d be in danger but for now being on earth is better. I already have two more angels coming to help protect you.”
“Umm…okay…but can you explain why devils came to kidnap me 6 years ago? And what had just happened this afternoon? Did they try to kidnap me again?”
“Yes they did. I don’t know how they found out who you were but they were the ones that kidnapped you this afternoon.”
“The same ones from 6 years ago?”
“I don’t think so. They were different devils.”
“How was I able to escape from them? You rescued me right?”
“Yes I did. As your caretaker or servant or bodyguard from now on, I used whatever power I had to save you.”
“But why all the trouble over me, the son of the king of heaven? I mean besides the fact that I’m the son of the king of heaven.”
“There’s no easy way to say this…but you’re the Light everyone is after. You’re the key to this. You have the power to determine the outcome of the upcoming war, at least when you turn 18.”
“But that’s several months away. What’s going to happen in that time?”
“Who knows? But until then, me and my fellow angels will be watching over you and protecting you. We will be your bodyguards.”
“Umm…okay…uhh…can I go home now? Youngwoon is probably worried about me.”
“Oh yeah…about Youngwoon…”
“What…?”
“You should break up with him. Now Ryeowook, take him home please.”
