Chapter 18
“Feel any better?”
“Yeah.”
“Here. You need to eat.”
“Thank you, Ryeowook.” I took the tray and started eating. I looked around and saw Eunhyuk and Donghae in a corner, Siwon reading a book in the chair, and Hankyung sitting in the other chair.
“Leeteuk?”
“Yes, Ryeowook?”
“Do you think you can talk to us about what happened earlier?”
“Uh…I think so. But there’s really nothing else to say. I went over to Youngwoon’s house to get my things, he grabbed me and tried to get an explanation. I ran out of there, turned invisible, and flew away.” Everyone stared at me. “What?”
“Repeat that last sentence.” I looked at Siwon.
“I ran out of there, turned invisible, and flew away?”
“Yeah, that one.”
“How were you able to do it?”
I looked around, confused. “What do you mean?”
“Didn’t you lose your powers and whatever memories you had beforehand?”
“Uh yeah…but I seem to have regain some while staying here.”
“But you’ve been here only one night.” Eunhyuk hit Donghae.
“Babo, he’s the prince. And you forget he was always a bright kid.” He chuckled at that. Everyone just ignored him.
“So, do you remember anything else?”
“Hmm…let me think…Ryeowook’s nickname is Wookie. He’s the magnae of the group. I love to dote on him. Eunhyuk is monkey. He loves strawberry milk and Fishy. Fishy is Donghae. He’s a ball of energy. Those two stick together a lot. Donghae gets into trouble because he likes to help but ends up causing more trouble for the other people. Siwon is completely devoted to his job. He works out a lot. Hankyung loves to cook and is very talented. He always cleans up after everyone without complaining. We all play together and you guys like to call me “umma” ‘cause I worry over you and take care of you. Sometimes you guys (looks at Siwon) get annoyed but you love it.” I looked at them and squealed. “Aww, you look so cute.” I ran up and hugged everyone and clung onto Ryeowook.
“Oh, and I once ran into Heechul when I was younger. That’s when Eunhyukkie and Donghae ran into Kyuhyun and Sungmin. I’m not sure what happened after that. Siwon had pulled me away and someone else had taken Heechul away. But Eunhyuk and Donghae were badly injured. They had to rest for several weeks. I used the most of my abilities to help heal them.” I teared up a little. “And look at them now. So grown up…you were still recovering that night I fell.” Ryeowook and Donghae were silently crying. They clung onto me while Eunhyuk, Hankyung, and Siwon stood a bit away. All had misty eyes.

I cried for I don’t know how long. But I made sure no one knew that.
After Jungsu had run away, I went back into the room and saw on the nightstand a letter from Jungsu. Tears filled my eyes as I read it.
Dear Youngwoon,
I want you to know that I love you very much. Which is the reason why I did what I did. I’m sorry for leaving you but I had to. It was for your own good.
The several years I spent with you and your family have been the best. I’m forever thankful. You guys took care of me, treated me like family. I’ll never forget. Every moment I’ve spent with you, sleeping together, hanging together, the few dates, have been my happiest moments. I’m going to miss you so much. Please be happy. I’m sorry for leaving you like this.
Please don’t try and look for me. Just know I love you so very much.

By the time I had finished the letter, I was openly crying.
Jungsu…please come back to me.
