It appears that was successful. What is the score now?

Partially, Severus. Our books remain intact.

56. If all the heroes are standing together around a strange device and begin to taunt me, I will pull out a conventional weapon instead of using my unstoppable Super-Weapon on them.

That is a very Clever plan, My Lorde.

Ah, you must be the daughter of Padrig Parkinson. The resemblance, both physically and emotionally, is remarkable.

I appreciate your sentiments, Miss Parkinson. I'm pleased to see that you are not forsaking the family business.

Yes, that is my Father. I am pleased that you find that I Resemble him so.

I would never forsake my Duty, Lorde.

I am most pleased to hear it. Such loyalty does not fall lightly on a seasoned Evil Overlord's ears.

Have an agreeable day, Miss Parkinson.

Hello Tom. It was a good show, and it partially worked. I remember a time when you drove a first year to tears for mangling a book, it is remarkable how much you have changed since then, attempting to destroy that book and more.

Why, how perceptive of you, Albus. The dramatic change between the character of my youth and the one I possess today has never before been so eloquently described. Alas, I now see the err of my ways! Repent, repent ye sinner!

I'm afraid that you will require more than weary words laced with half-hearted attempts at redemption to oppose my villainy.

You should not fault an old wizard for reminiscing about his students and books. In the end, that is all we have. And a school, immense power and minions who regularly defeat our enemies, if we're lucky.

Fault lies not in the past but in reaction to the present, Albus. We have not yet seen the end.

See, your ingrained didacticism did not go to waste.

Though, allowing myself a Sentimental Moment of Introspection (of which I will now only possess seven) I must admit that I expect the same fate. Without, of course, the school and with, of course, only the key singular defeat.

Considering the soul purpose in my life of evil and destruction is your satisfaction, strange boy with facial deformity, your words wound me like no others previously have.

Brilliant. I think I get to become self-obsessed, angst-riddled and type in all caps now.

You were there, with Cedric and Harry, right?

Can you tell me about it? And Cedric?

potter_mouth July 24 2004, 10:06:04 UTC
I CAN TELL YOU ABOUT IT.

CEDRIC DIED.

BOO HOO.

Oh, Cedric, your life was cruelly cut short, like a Hair Shearing charm gone wrong.

He was a Seeker, too, remember, Harry?
