The light at the end of the tunnel is awfully complicated.
The LCD was ordererd thursday, it was hoped it would be courier-delivered friday. It wasn't; this leaves the delivery day till monday - except I won't be home monday, so the darn thing will end up at the depot, and I'll have to chase it up on Wedensday, my earliest free day. My parents have informed me they'll be looking into a UPS and LCD for my 'birthday', combined with a few favors. Accordingly, the revised budget suggests I can probably scrape together enough money for the rest of the machine, afterall. Ironic, or convinient?
Today my mother helped me tidy up my house, after visiting and catching it at a, uh, bad time.
Part of this ended up with me grabbing some boxes from the garage. One of them had the Thermaltake PSU box still down there... I checked inside for a receipt, 'cuz I always stick the receipt in the box.

UPDATE: I reccomend excersizing caution regarding the Hardware Gifts in light of "Recent Developments", to put it politely. This may yet change again, I don't know - but I'd hate for someone to eversokindly buy me the CPU or RAM or something, and then find I lacked the funds to build the rest of the machine anyway, if you get the idea... All night, I have been tossing and turning, unable to get to sleep. I tried resting, didn't work. I tried sleeping pills, didn't work. My beard is so manly it /slices flesh/!
So, I have a beard. A full beard, one that I keep reguarly trimmed to be neat and tidy and shaped appropriately - I'm a bearded man, not a wild-eyed unshaven prophet from the desert. (Although I suppose the wild-eyed part is debatable...)

Christmas Haul - aka, "Domesticated, much?"
