Not wanting to brag.. but ooh what the hell. Was speaking to my supervisor on Wednesday and found out that the money we're getting from Unilever is all to go to me, not to lab costs (Ian wrangled more for that too :D ).. Which means I will be on at least £16k for the next 3 years, tax free, council tax free! I feel expensive holidays coming on.. ;)

On my kitchen windowsill there are two plants. Both of which are bare or covered in brown leaves all the way up to a certain point when they burst forth with a crowd of vibrant clamoring green leaves. Lab901 are, as I already knew really, taking me back. I start on Monday (no more boredom!!/freedom?). They are being a bit cheap saying they will pay at least what I was on last year with them, then I pointed out I will get tax but they pointed out I won't earn enough to get tax and can apparently fill out a form(?) This has involved seeking references from two lecturers on this floor (ex tutor and ex honours project supervisor), telling my supervisor, writing a letter to my supervisor explaining my reasons and telling my funding body my decision.
