I watched 'The Hours' the other night and completely cried my eyes out. For a good few minutes in total throughout the film. Not often films or even books have quite that effect on me. Went along to the make poverty history march yesterday, mostly out of interest at the scale of the protest. And, as usual with these things, I came back very angry and disappointed with humanity. I got a first! Last night Yan (2:2 + happy), Jason (2:1 + happy) and I took champagne and chocolate cake to the top of authurs seat after the pub closed to celebrate and stayed until the sun came up. It was magical..

Am guessing an update is probably quite overdue. It's been a week now since I hit the strange hazy world of post uni. Feels very peculiar indeed but I have, somewhat surprisingly, found myself being kept very busy. GOT IT (got both in fact and turned one down ;) how much do i rock!)

Yesterday my project WORKED. I successfully proved that C5 and C7 interact with a stoichiometry of 1:1. And what a job it was getting there! Mainly because our protein sample was so limited though - I had to separate the complex we made to get monomeric protein back, which noone ever does usually. But yeah, I feel on top of the world.
