Chapter Three:

I didn’t know what to do so I tried to pull away but his grip just tightened. I decided not to resist anymore because I didn’t want to end up with a bruise later. I then lied my head down on the blankets. A few moments of my eyes closed won’t do anything, will it?

Suddenly I felt a cold wind hit me and I shivered, where is that draft coming from? I opened my eyes to see the door open and Yuri and Yuto standing at the doorway looking at us funny. I looked at my wrist still gripped in Ryosuke’s hand and tried to pull again but instead of tightening his grip he woke up. He then sat up and looked around at everyone all sleepy like a little kid.

“What happened?” he asked rubbing his eyes with his arm.

“Umm… Ryosuke?” I smiled at him then looked awkwardly down at his hand gripped around my wrist.

“Oh, sorry!” He exclaimed letting go of my wrist that had cut the circulation to my hand off. My hand didn’t want to move, it had fallen asleep. How sad for me.

“Yeah,” I said sighing. “My hand is numb now… Thanks so much…”

He started to chuckle and I shot a glare at him, but he didn’t notice so I just looked back down at my hand and faked a sniffle. It really was numb… What if I can never use it again?! How am I going to clean without my left hand?!

I didn’t want to be in the room anymore so I decided… to get up and leave. I shuffled out the door and into the hallway past the two boys who had witnessed my hand being discombobulated. Wait… did I even use that word right? Discombobulate… Fun to say though, even if I didn’t use it right.

I walked back downstairs and into the living room and sat down on the couch. Waiting… to do something. But there was nothing to do. Well that’s fun; there are thirteen people in this house right now and nothing to do.

“Chae Ri!” I looked up to see Kei sit next to me with a bowl of cereal in his hands. Cereal… this late at night?! Wait… I looked up at a clock, it’s only four thirty.

“Yes?” I inquired trying to get him to say what he needed to then leave.

“Heard about you in Ryosuke’s room,” he said with a smirk and then took a bite of his cereal.

“How did you hear about that when it only happened a few moments ago?” I asked looking at him funny.

“Things get around fast in this house,” he replied smiling and eating more of his cereal.

“I thought you had a date or something,” I tried to change the subject, and it worked.

“I did,” he said. “But decided it was probably more entertaining to stay at home and see how you settle in. I guess I was right on it being more entertaining.”

“Yeah because I’m such fun,” I mumbled. “What is there to do until tomorrow?”

“Absolutely nothing,” he replied drinking the milk in the bowl and then setting it down on the table.

“Hey!” I said picking it up and handing it back to him. “Take it and wash and put it in the dish washer! It took hours to clean this place!”

“It’s cleaned?” Kei asked looking around to the freshly cleaned living room. “Whoa! It is cleaned! You’re good at this maid job, you know that?”

“Years of experience my friend, years of experience,” I replied standing up. “It’s time to go to sleep and now wake up until early tomorrow morning. I’ll see you later.”

I left before he could reply and headed to the room I woke up in. It was empty so I closed the door and collapsed on the bed and fell asleep. How fun… sleep…

Morning:

I had gotten up at about six thirty and had worked on cleaning every single part of the house. Every corner was cleaned and sparkling. I had barged into everyone’s rooms so I could get them clean because seriously… who wants to live in a pigsty? It was that ridiculous.

“Chae Ri!” Staci walked into Yuya’s room, which I was cleaning, and grabbed my arm. “Johnny will be here soon.”

She walked me down the stairs and sat me at a really long dining table and smiled at me reassuringly. Was I being interviewed or something…?

“He’s here!” Yuri exclaimed as Johnny walked in behind him.

“Thanks for the introduction Yuri,” Johnny said sarcastically and sat down next to me. “I talk to your parents.”

“What’d they say?” I wondered out loud.

“They say it was fine,” he replied. “Your dad is just glad that you’re safe and not dead and your mother… well…”

“No one cares for the witch,” I said bluntly as I heard someone gasp. “Moving on to more pressing matters: is it alright if I stay here?”

“Oh yeah it’s fine,” he said smiling as I sighed. I didn’t have to go back to the witch I was very happy. “But there are three main rules for working here.” I gestured for him to go on. “One,” he held up his finger planning on counting the three on his fingers. “No one can know you know the boys and you live with them. Two: you have to take your work very seriously and keep this place tidy. Three: you can’t date the boys.”

“Well that’s easy,” I sighed. “I thought it was going to be like I had to treat the boys like kings and give them whatever they wanted. I mean seriously, date one of these clowns? Heck no siree bob!”

“Good we’re on the same page,” he smiled. “I’ll be seeing you soon.”

“Yeah,” I smiled shaking his hand and then he left.

I could hear cheering but then I thought of how hungry I was. Then decided to stand up and walk into the kitchen a rummage through the cabinets. Really… there was nothing good to eat. I really wanted to eat bibimbap too.

“What’s wrong?” I looked behind me to see Staci with bags of groceries.

“What kind of food did you buy?” I asked on the verge of tears because of rice deprivation.

“Well… Pocky and a whole bunch of snacks,” she said looking in the bags. “Then I also got rice cakes and other stuff.”

“But no actual food?” I asked. “Remind me to go shopping for food tomorrow.”

“But I just shopped for food,” she replied setting the groceries on the counter.

“That’s what you think,” I said grabbing some rice cakes and leaving.

“Yay! She gets to stay!” Yuri hugged me like a little kid hugging his mom.

“Yeah,” I looked at him strangely.

“And you get to go to school with us!” he squeezed me tighter.

“Yeah… What?” I asked shocked. “I get to go to school with you?”

“Didn’t you know?” he looked down at me. You know for someone taller than me by about an inch he acts waaaaayyyy younger.

“No,” I said bluntly.

“Your uniform is in your room,” Yuto was standing next to us joining in on our little hug.

“That’s nice to know,” I said looking away with a strange sweat drop face on.

“And we can eat lunch together,” Ryutaro also joined in on the hug with other random members of the band.

“What is this?!” I yelled pushing everyone off. “National group hug day?!”

“Chae Ri!” Yuri hugged me again and I looked at him like he was crazy or something.

“I don’t know,” I started to ponder out loud. “Is it against the rules to hug you guys?”

“I don’t know is it?” Daiki asked.

“Probably not,” Kota said taking a sip from the soda he had in his hand.

“Is that all you guys eat and drink? Junk food?” I asked pointing at the soda.

“No,” Yuto laughed. “We eat many other foods as well. Such as… umm… you guys help me out.”

“Fail,” I muttered shaking my head in disappointment. “I’m going grocery shopping tomorrow so make a list of what you want and stick it on the fridge.”

“You should see your uniform!” Yuri grabbed my hand and pulled back into my room.

When I walked in there was a set of clothes on my white bed. It was a plaid skirt, a white shirt, a black sweater vest and a blazer. On the floor there were black shoes, you know that kind no one likes… what’s the name? Loafers? Yeah that’s what they’re called, loafers, ew. I picked up the uniform to put on my desk then a tie fell out. I picked it up and set it on the uniform.

“You can actually whatever shoes you want but we didn’t know what you would want,” Yuri said smiling. “Oh and here’s a key to the house! You have to leave with Staci and Sarah in the morning because they take the back way out of the house. So no one knows they live with us and all.”

“Thanks,” I put the key in my pocket and stretched. I was pretty tired then I glanced at the clock it was almost nine thirty.

“You should get some sleep for school,” he smiled then headed toward the door. “I’ll see you tomorrow!”

He left and I changed into my pajamas and slipped into bed and fell asleep. Tomorrow I had school; I was going to need all the energy I could get.

hey! say! jump
