It's good to have Xander back. His plane landed last night. Some of us went to meet him at the airport. There were even signs. And then there was hugging. It's nice to have everyone together again.

We even had a welcome home party for him. We got through it without any badness happening. Although, Xander does seem to have a sudden love for beer. I ( Read more... )

This is totally not an odd obsession, or phase, or whatever you people call it! This is true! His abs! My god, the abs would have stopped the boat from sinking! They are that great! Abs! Abs!

Ben Affleck's abs suck in comparison. Seriously, I want to see Spike abs! not squicky Ben Affleck abs!

I don't know, Dawn. This kind of seems unhealthy.

I don't care about Ben Affleck's or Spike's abs. I'd rather see Kate Winslet or Liv Tyler...

I like Spike's abs!

They look like a pineapple sometimes. Mmm, pineapple.

I highly recommend "Deep Impact" and "Meteor" as well for the full disaster-from-the-sky experience. Then, if you're in the mood for more, you can always watch the lava twin-pack of "Volcano" and "Dante's Peak." If you want to expand into more natural disasters, try "Twister," "Earthquake," and I think I can point you toward a download of "The Day After Tomorrow." For a change of pace, go for the man-made diasters of "Airport," "Airport '75," "Airport '77," and "The Poseidon Adventure." :D

How about the great "Let's Check Out What The Latest Weird Mojo Is", huh? If only because seeing Andrew so obsessed with Buffy and Dawn with Spike's abs is a bit, er, disturbing...

There's also the ones from the 50's that look amazingly bad now, like "When Worlds Collide". Those are good if you are in the right MST3K mood.

And if you are doing a double feature, "Airport" is best followed by "Airplane".

Speaking of "Airplane," they ran that on TV here the other day.

It sucks on TV. They have to cut it all to hell. :/

Showing a blowup automatic pilot getting a blow job on TV?

Surely you can't be serious.

Titanic is a disaster movie? I know a ship by that name sank one time, but with all the face-sucking in the movie, I didn't think that's what they were referring to. *snerk*

Cool special effects, and lots of people die. It qualifies. ;)

Try the great original - "A Night to Remember." A classic film, and it is actually about the sinking of the Titanic, not just the star-crossed lovers thing with Titanic only as backdrop. (Made with the help of some of Titanic's survivors, too.)
