Boston Transit Collection at the Fogg Museum
is a database of glass-plate and silver-gelatin photographs of mass transit work in Boston from 1900-1940. You can search by street name, or view the full list. It's neat from a construction standpoint, as well as a cultural snapshot.

This movie came highly recommended from the blockbuster guy. i don't even usually go in blockbuster anymore, but i wanted "Happy Feet" for a quick giggle and got this as well. The CarpetMakers is a translation from German, written by Andreas Eschbach and endorsed by Orson Scott Card. I don't actually think I've read anything by OSC; if i did it was a long time ago, but he's definitely a big name in Sci Fi, so I picked up this book. Seth and I took advantage of the fantastic weather last weekend and drove up to Acadia(a lot of driving for a 2 day weekend!).
