Finding food sensitivities
Back at the beginning of November I bought a food allergy screening groupon from a local chiropractor and applied kenethesiologist. He suggested that I would do better without dairy, soy, or gluten. I wanted to loose weight and my blood pressure that had always been below normal had been reaching dangerously low. I also have always beef ( Read more... ) -
So many things to talk about. Nothing much to say.
It has been almost a year since I've posted and I don't know what to write.
Gosh. Kind of a lot has happened since then.

Even before I was pregnant with Primrose, I knew I wanted to birth with a midwife. A coworker was going through her midwifery training and delightedly told me all about it. There were several other contributing factors too, not the least of which is my dislike for hospitals in general.

Wow! Thorin is a week old already!
The last week has been a whirlwind of joyous exhaustion. Thorin Alfred Nelson was born a week ago at 8lbs 10oz. Labor was a total of three hours with only seven minutes of it pushing. He's been thriving and sleeping decently. It has been such a joy. P has reacted fairly well so far. She loves her brother. The main problem we've had is that her love ( Read more... ) -

I had a very helpful conversation with Virginia, our doula with Primrose. She had great advice for helping me get past my fear of a Cesarean birth as well as my nervousness toward a hospital birth in general. She suggested getting together to do some role play exercises with the Cesarean birth scenario so I could get my head around possible ( Read more... ) -
Placenta news
So the placenta is moving. It's not all the way out the way yet, but it's getting closer. They'll re-scan after the new year to confirm it has moved entirely. It needs to be 3cm away from the cervix to deliver normally with my midwives.
