I'm back from Dragon*Con!

Omg I miss it already.

I had an amazing time and just so you know, I asked EJO THAT question :)

I asked him firstly if he thought that there were any aspects of Laura Roslin and William Adama that current politicians could learn from. His reply was to laugh and go 'Yeah!' and then he started talking about how great Mary

He really is LOVELY! And I got his autograph! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

He's also very handsome in person I think. He was a bit tired today though, he was up very late last night around the convention and he'd dropped by the Colonial party the night before so he was starting to feel tired. He also said, and I forgot to mention this in my post, that he was heading straight back to carry on working on the films they're making (you know, the mini films for BSG focusing on the Cylons and filling in the gaps while the people are on New Caprica?) and he said he had to take time out of that to come to the Con but he was glad he did because he was happy to see us all.

Also, he finished the panel with 'SO SAY WE ALL' just like in the mini series, and we all replied 'SO SAY WE ALL' then he shouted it a bit louder, and we replied a bit louder, then he shouted it even louder and we all screamed it back and he smiled and thanked us and left the stage. It was so great!

Isn't he soooo good looking in person, I mean I love him in the show but IRL....ZOMG!! Oh so are they filming more than one film then? Did he say if Mary will be in them at all? I am so coming back with you next year if both him and Mary are gonna be there. Im defo going to see Michael Hogan next month and then Mary in Feb...but the two of them...A DREAM!! Did you hear anything about this supposed delay in airing the last 10 eps....I mean APRIL...ARE THEY FRAKKING TRYING TO KILL US!!!! Safe flight home, when do you leave I go tomorrow :-( xoxoxo

He said nothing about a delay in the next half of the season so I'm thinking that so far it's just a rumour. If there is a delay, I will be so angry!

He didn't mention exactly who would be returning for the films but as they are prequels, it may well be that they try to get everyone back. I'm sure he said 'films' plural, so perhaps they're going back as far as Caprica before the battle? I don't know.

I probably have more to post about the convention but it'll have to wait for when I'm feeling a little bit less sleep deprived LOL!

I fly home next weekend. I leave on the 7th and arrive home on the 8th, so long as hurricane Hanna doesn't sneak up and give us some storms in Georgia. Storms tend to cause problems with flights. Gustav looks horrible, doesn't it? Here's hoping that Hanna doesn't take off as much as he did.

Thanks for sharing this!! i would love to see Mary laugh like that too!!! The only other actress I saw doing that was Gillian Anderson and it was hilarious!!
I would love to see the NC movie wonder what insight it maybe-hummmm
I hope they 'get together' before the end of the series but after that last episode how can they not!!
Maybe one of these days I will get to go to a Con~ never have the Time and the Money and the same time and since I live in Cleveland nothing good ever comes to Cleveland or a short drive away~ I need Time and Money-lol

Time and money are good things. I didn't really have the time for this convention but I managed to swing it :) As for money, I probably should have spent it elsewhere but what the hell, I spent it here and it was soooo worth it :) Next year, if EJO get's MM to come along as well, it will be MORE than worth it.

If it's any consolation, I feel like hell now. I'm seeing double and I think it's sleep deprivation. :)

If you come to Dragon*Con next year, I will TOTALLY hang out with you and we can squee over Mary McDonnell's panels if she ends up coming.

I hope EJO talks her into it.

He got Michael Hogan to go and apparently he REALLY didn't want to, but EJO talked him into it. I think MM might be less reluctant and with EJO's powers of persuasion, we should be in luck ::fingers crossed::

Me too :) We'll have to set up an LJ group for all the potential people (aka BSG A/R fans) who want to go to Dragon*Con and meet up and squee over A/R. Even if they're not both there, it's still a REALLY fun place to be with lots of BSG things going on.

But I totally did and even though I didn't get a full answer, I got enough of an answer to keep me happy. :D
