I remember the first way, but "Roll it, Pat it, and mark it with a J! Put it in the oven for Jesus's Birthday!"

Weird, I know. I did a lot of Tiny Seeds. :)

That's cute. I like it.

I really don't like singing prick it...lol.

Patty cake, Patty cake
Baker's man
Bake me a cake as fast as you can
Roll it and roll it and mark it with a B
and put it in the oven for Ben and me!

We do "roll it and roll it" because Ben really, really likes to roll it!

How I remember learning it was way (I'm sure mom can correct me of I'm wrong):
Patty cake, patty cake
Baker's man
Bake me a cake as fast as you can
Roll it and pat it and mark it with a B
And put it in the oven for baby and me.

(Although I'm pretty sure my mom used B for Becky and N for Nathan.)

we do one a bit different

Patty cake, patty cake
Baker man
Bake me a cake as fast as you can
Roll it
& pat it
& mark it with a B (we do C for Connor or T for tickles)
Throw it it the oven for baby and me

If we do T we tickle Connor when we say "for tickles and me"

Cool. I like that one too. Some of the ones I've tried just don't flow right.

I have heard of the first one before.....

But, as far as my childhood, seems like the second one is what I was raised with......

See, I didn't remember the second one until MoMo started singing it to Trent. Then it sounded familiar. But she completely skips over patting it, pricking it, or marking it....which is different from almost all other versions.
